Jalan Hari Raya ____________________________________________________ This is the first time I went to jalan Hari Raya. But only jalan to Adil's place because there's a True Religion sale going on at Swissotel Stamford. Let me take you through a pictorial trip (though it ain't complete).
We are supposed to meet at Kembangang MRT station at around 12. But I left home at 12, cos I was watching Trick 3 finale. But then again, everyone is late, including the VI gang which is supposed to meet at 1130. When we were walking to his place, pq and me spotted this tortise in the canal. I thought it was quite un-usual, so I took a picture of it. PQ and I started discussing how the tortise got there. Tortise in Canal (look at the waves) We continued our trip to Adil's place. There is quite a number of us, but we still managed to fit into the lift. I saw a muslim guy (wearing silky orange) standing outside waiting for the lift, I just asked him to come into the lift, since it could still spatially fit one more. So he happily abidded, but it was a mistake! The bell from the lift rang, he got on choice but to step out of the lift. Just then his friends came by and saw him depart from the lift due to the bell. So we went up first. When I first saw his house, it feels as though a typical Malay house.B tw, that orange guy is Adil's friend. And we bumped into him in Adil's house. I felt so embarassed when I saw him. Cos I made him embarassed. I guess I made him feel fat too. Adil's Living Room The two BIG men (Mingzhi and SingCheng) looked bigger on the small chairs. Arpan, escaping from my shot. A few of them were already there, people like Yiming and Miaomei. We started eating the cookies available. It has similar ambience to Chinese New Year - junk food and cookies. They are place in very nice jar. The cookies are fabulous. The cookies are in very nice bottles. Adil's mum made all the cookies. Very nice cookies too. They kept commenting on this Kua Lapis with curry. So being daring and embracing the love of Kua Lapis, I tried! To my horror, it contained coffee. When I realised that, I gave it to PQ and started drowning myself with the yellow-colored drink (I drank at least 5 cups of it). This drink is super cool. It's Bird Nest drink and yet it is made from syrup form. But I still feel zonky and uncomfortable. After a while, Adil's mummy is done with the cooking and we had a full meal. Her cooking is very nice. She's quite pretty too. I thought she looks a bit too fair for a malay, but latter on, I was told she is a chinese. Bird Nest Water. Made from Syrup. After lunch I just went to see my jeans. TRUE RELIGION SALE. haha. |
