Do you see any difference in the above two paintings (in terms of nudity and nakedness)? I don't. . . seriously . . To me, they are just 2 undress women. But, there's really a difference. A woman is nude, the other is naked. According to my art history lecturer, Olympia is naked while Venus of Urbino is nude. His main reason is because Olympia's body represents sex while Venus's represents beauty (fyi, Olympia was a prostitute). Isn't Venus unapologetically erotic too? So does it means that there is beauty of eroticism? And porn is art too? = = = = = = = = = A few days ago, before I did this new skin, I was surfing around as usual. This girl, Ms Marie, gave me this inspiration for this skin. I love the very first picture that I saw of her.Her photographs are very well taken. And I realized later on that these pictures which are taken are actually for guys to pin-up. And later later on, I saw the other images that the photographer took. All the photos are suggestive and some bodies are just naked and not nude (according to Olympia/Venus definition). I really don't see the difference. What is NUDE? What is NAKED? |
