War in Hell
____________________________________________________

Bumping around again today and found this game.

I find this game rather intriging yet disturbing. Because it clearly shows a scene of what could really happen next time. People all fighting to go heaven.

That reminds me clearly of the purpose of evangelizing, which I tend to shrink away.

Daddy, I'm sorry for my irresponsibility. Please help me to overcome my shyness and do Your work.

The game is like an alarm on a Monday morning.

In truth, we know that a lot of people are not saved yet, but a lot of us are not doing anything too.

Then He said to His disciples," The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
-Matthew 9:37

Think of your friends and loved ones, who one day could be like the stick figures in the game.

Whoever wants to try the game, please click on the picture.

Save the Shoppers!!
____________________________________________________

A lot of man are born workaholic while a lot of woman are born shoppaholic. Great Singapore Sale is in town now, the spirit of SHOPPING is definitely in the air. This made me realised that I have been doing alot of online window shopping, and not much physical shopping.

Yesterday, I met PQ in Harbourfront for dinner and after that we went walking around in Harbourfront. We bought quite a number of stuff, especially for me. What I bought in the day itself is more than the total number of stuff I bought in the whole holiday til this day. Which made me realised that I haven been shopping. Can't wait to go shopping with Candice tommorrow, Rye and Shan on saturday. :D . I just have a lot of stuff to buy!!

In this season of shopping, I guess it would be good for me to introduce a shopping game too. I bump into this game earlier in the evening, and I thought it really shows how badly shoppaholic women are. Hah.

Save the SHOPPERS!! SAVE the World!!

i love bunny
____________________________________________________

Today I found super cute bunny site. Too bad it's all in japanese. I had some problems understanding it. But my adventurous instinct got me to the cute cute pages. hah. They feature the junior rabbits and senior rabbits. They are all so cute.

I used to like lop rabbits, because the rabbit in DNAngel is very cute. WITH, the psuedo rabbit, is a lop. Then, I went to Jia yann's place and saw the huge rabbit. That rabbit is also very cute and funny. Probably, Jia Yann's love for the rabbit affected me somehow too.

One day, H was on the phone with A. As usual, H was telling her life-story to A which made A laughed a lot.

H : It seemed that my life is quite comical.

A: As long as you are not the comic, that's good enough.

H: Well, I'll never be that, cos my surname is not strip.

A: . . . . .

'Super-size' not a super deal, study finds
____________________________________________________

Extra calories can lead to higher costs for groceries, health care and more

(taken from Reuters, 5:03 p.m. ET May 31, 2006)
note: this blog entry is specially for Faizal, Aswad, Mark and whoever that upsizes their meals.

NEW YORK - The "super-size" deals at fast-food restaurants aren't such a bargain once the costs of weight gain are considered, according to a new study.

Researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison found that while the average "upsized" fast-food meal costs a mere 67 cents more than a regular meal, those bonus calories could translate into substantial daily costs due to weight gain.

When people put on weight, the study authors say, their grocery bills, healthcare costs and even gasoline expenses climb as well.

"These calculated costs exceed the value of upsized meals and may provide motivation to some consumers not to upsize their meals," Rachel N. Close and Dr. Dale A. Schoeller write in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition.

Based on their estimates, each fast-food "value" meal would cost an adult 5 cents more in fuel expenses - as heavier passengers reduce a car's fuel efficiency - and about 35 cents in overall food costs, since heavier people need more calories.

Add to that the healthcare cost per super-size meal - which ranges from 82 cents to $6.64 - and these fast-food deals are no deal at all, Close and Schoeller assert.

"In essence," they write, "the more a person overeats, the greater the financial cost."

About one third of American adults are considered obese, and critics have long accused the fast-food industry of helping to fuel the problem with their swelling portion sizes. The new study took a different tack and sought to highlight the potential financial effects of voluminous fast-food meals.

"This is another way to present the costs associated with weight gain, and might help convince people that upsizing a meal is no bargain at all," Close said in a statement.

Using nutrition information from several major fast-food chains, the researchers estimated that super-sizing a soda and fries costs consumers only 67 cents, on average. But those cents buy about 400 extra calories, which may carry their own price tag.

For every 100 calories a person eats beyond his daily needs, Close and Schoeller calculate, the price in terms of food, medical care and gasoline rises anywhere from 48 cents to nearly $2. The heavier a person is, the greater the cost.

So while there may be immediate savings in choosing a super-size meal, the researchers conclude, consumers should be aware of the potential "hidden costs" that they will pay later.

Vertical Shopping Alley
____________________________________________________

I went to Sim Lim to check out PQ's pressie today. I din buy it though, but I found a nice shopping place in Bugis. I think the place is call ICON@Bugis.

It is located beside YU KEE duck rice and the chou duo fu there. The location used to reside a shophouse. When it was toren down in 2 quarter of 2003, I was rather upset. Cos it's a loss of history, memory and style. But now, it was replaced by a arty shopping place.

It is a 7 levels building. Initially, me and kel are walking towards Yu Kee for dinner. Before crossing the road from Bugis Junction, I saw the building. The facade is abit exhibitionist, fully glass-claded. Neon lights shone through the windows.

There's one shop that caught my attention even when I am on the opposite street. That is "HAUT". It is a guys vintage shop. Super Duper Cool!!

We went in after our dinner. Waiting for the lift is a very sickening process. However when you entered the lift, it says "Sorry to keep you waiting.". All the sianness became cuteness. Haha.

Level 7 is a rooftop bar. We did not go there. We stopped by Level 6 and walked down. Surprisingly, I bought something from level 2. It's gonna be my new coin pouch, where I can also put my cards and handphone. Heh.

The pouch says "the perfect lamb". How I wished I could. But... haha. Anyway, the pouch is nice, with a cute lil sheep. This is all it matters. Hah.

I wanna go again. So I am going to get Candice to go down with me. I think she might like the place. heh.

I found a link about the place too. If you wanna find out more, please click here.

This is a classic IQ game which we like to ask to exhibit our own "smartness".

The objective of the game is to get everyone across the river safely. They are a family of 6 - father, mother, 2 daughters and 2 sons, and a police and thief. However it's not as simple as it seemed. People in the group does not get along with each other.

Rules:

* A maximum of two people can be on the raft at a time.
* One adult must be on the raft to operate it.
* The man cannot be with any of the girls without the woman present.
* Conversely, the woman can't stay with the boys without the man there.
* The thief must be with the policeman or be alone.

Can you do it?

The game is in chinese. To start, just press the big circular button.

Mood Swinging on a Swing
____________________________________________________

I am starting to get mood swing. I don't actually mood swing, like some secondary school friend that I know. I know you know who you are, I have a feeling you would be reading also. I wanted to blog for a few days, but there's something wrong with blogger. I can't seemed to be able to log-in. I won't be blogging on stuff that I did not manage to blog.

Anyway, recently the mood has been swinging like a kid. However it does not really know how to use the swing. It doesn't really know how to go up using its own body weight. So periods of being at the bottom is longer than periods on top.

I do not understand why.

I am suspecting that it is an effect of the pills.

I do not want to take them initially.

I knew they would have side effects.

But I did not expect it to be like that.

I shouldn't be taking them.

Why do I have to take them??

Everything would be just fine, if I don't take them.

Started drawing again.

Staring at the 4 walls, like I used to face.

Feelings of yesteryears seemed to attach themselves to me again.

the OMEN
____________________________________________________

I watch it today, on 060606.

It's a nice show. I would definitely recommend friends to watch it. It is much better than DA VINCI code. For people who has not watched DA VINCI, just forget about it and watch the OMEN.

But there's one thing I dun like about the movie. The freaky accidents are very cliche. Shan't spoil it for anyone.

I am wondering should I watch it with the rest of the gang in Cathay this saturday. It's a nice show. Should I watch it again?

Actually I never watch the trailer and the old version of the show. What surprised me the most is that one of my favourite actress is the female lead. I did not know Julia Stiles is in the show. I love her looks. Her acting is not bad too. She looks sooo cool. For all the shows she has acted in, I'm always impressed by her.

But now, I feel like watching the old version, cos I heard the plot and focus is slightly different. I wonder how would a 1976 show be like.
